Video of the New iMac, Keyboard, and iLife's Best (Plus a Round Up)
Here's a video I took in Cupertino today of the new Apple keyboards, iMacs, and what I consider the best features of iPhoto and iMovie: skimming and...skimming. As for the rest of the day, here are the highlights: more »

Magellan's Triton GPS Features Touch Screen, National Geographic Maps
Unleash your inner explorer with the adventurous Triton handheld GPS from Magellan. There are six models in total, all sporting QVGA touch screens ( 2.2"or 2.7") that are waterproof up to one meter. Some feature expandable memory via an SD slot alongside a 2-megapixel digital camera and digital audio player. The top-of-the-line Triton 2000 has a 3-way electronic compass and a built in barometer. All the Triton models can be enhanced with National Geographic's own topographical maps, which have never been commercially available on a GPS unit.

Aeroscraft ML866 Flying Yacht
Set to be launched next month, the whale-looking Aeros ML866 uses a combination of buoyancy (like a blimp) and lift (like a plane) to cruise comfortably through the air with over 5,000 square feet of interior room, it has more lounge space than some houses. It can take off vertically, without taking up runway time at crowded airports. And although this thing is designed to fit a "business center" with video conferencing, I'm actually thinking it deserves a swimming pool with adjoining hot tub, and a few of those 103-inch plasmas from Panasonic. The downside is a rated 120 knots of top speed, which means a world tour on this baby wouldn't be nearly as quick as it would be roomy. [ GizMag]

Rumor Digitimes is predicting a video-playing flash iPod in September. Digitimes, being based in Taiwan, does have easy access to manufacturers, but their track record is mixed, as are all of ours. We'll see soon enough. [ Digitimes]

Xbox 360 Input Machine Has Gamer Playing Halo 2 With Wiimote
It's impossible to ignore the unique brand of fun the Wii brings to the table with its motion-sensitive controller, but if you aren't into minigame fests, you don't have a lot of options for taking advantage of it. That's why one dedicated gamer decided to meld the power of the Wiimote with the game library of the Xbox 360, producing what he calls the Xbox 360 Input Machine ( XIM). As you can see in the video above, Master Chief is running around the Halo 2 world, jumping and firing via instructions from the Wiimote (including motion-sensing swings). But can you realistically expect to be plugging your Wii into your 360 any time soon?
